|Oh-my-Gawd, couldn't you just die?! Look at these pictures! I LOVE these pictures! Our new Halloween's Unseen cohort, Paula, has sent these and what a treasure they are! I see that she has a penchant for dark, black and white pictures just like me! Did I say that I love these pictures? What a treat! Okay, I'll stop bleeding over them and let the fun begin. Paula has written a word or two and I think she is such a grand person for sending a picture of her Grandfather's grave. Very, very brave and a worthy offering! Oh by the way, Paula, whose man-size footprints are those on your Grandfather's grave? Ahhhhh, intrigue! Love ya, Paula! (And you too creepsters, Janet)
I liked looking at your sight. You must spend a lot of time on it.
I just came back from Hot August night in Reno, Nevada. My parents live there. I took my sons to the Virginia City Cemetery and am including some of the many pictures we took there. We looked for over 2 hours and could have gone on for another 5. There is so much history there. Then on the way home we stopped in Ransberg/Johannesburg, another mining town. My grandfather loved mining for gold and actually found a decent amount in his days. He is buried in this old mining cemetery and we took a couple pictures of it. The one with the rocks around it and the cross. Let me know if you want more history on Virginia City. I have a book that explains the iron work around the graves and some of the stories. I am just happy that I have some one to share my pictures with that doesn't think I am morbid.
