| Joanne! I see that face! I see it real clear! It is creepy! I can't believe that someone can't see it! It's there I tell you, it's there!. . . . And welcome, Joanne! What a fine example of spookiness you have added to my web site. I am so proud. You can certainly tell that it was a cold clear night and look what showed up to keep you warm! And, just think, now, IT, waits for you to come out of your door. IT waits for you to come home. IT is watching you - watching every move that you make!!!! IT . . . Geez, I sound like friggin' Stephen King - IT does this and IT does that. Hey, I can write too! Okay, enough. Let's follow Joanne and let her lead us through this spooky turn in our path. Okay, everyone, hold on to yourselves . . . Joanne - you may begin. (tee hee)
Joanne writes:
Hello, I'm sending you a picture I took a few years ago here in the
Capital Area of NY state. This is my story (and I'm sticking to it - hee): I'd recently gotten a digital camera (my first) which is what I took the picture with. I'd just come home on this winters evening and as I went into my house I noticed the moon looked eerie. Oh, I thought, I'll go see how my new camera does at night outside (wondering if I could capture the spooky looking moon thru the branches of the trees. In I went, got the camera, nothing wrong yet. I go out and snap a few
pictures. The first one didn't satisfy me (with the new camera I can now
see a preview of my picture, loved that) so I snap a second picture. This
is the one that totally CREEPS me out. I look into the digital display
preview on the camera and I see a fog with a face, AN EVIL looking face.
I'm instantly creeped, bad. I quickly return to the inside of the house
and check the pic on the computer. Yep, there is a face, where did it
come from? I didn't see any fog when I was outside. And may I note my
first picture I took had no FOG in it. I show the picture to my husband, who has trouble seeing any face and tells me "It's cold outside, it was just your breath." I'm not believing it and my creeped feeling hasn't left me but I resign myself to the fact that the explanation would be good enough for most people. I go back outside and test the breath theory. I purposely exhale as I take another picture in the same spot. Yes, my foggy breath was in the picture but it looked just like that, a foggy exhale. This time no face. And I might add that my exhale this time seems to come from the bottom of the picture right where my mouth would have been. If you'll note in the pic I'm sending, the fog seems to come from the side of the picture. I'd like to tell you also that there is nothing on that side of me as I take the picture except for a few trees
which are some distance from me. So I have no other explanation of what
could have made that fog. I should probably also add that the night was
brisk and clear, no fog anyplace to be seen with the naked eye.
Okay, even if I did exhale how could that face have gotten there? Since it happened, I've showed this picture to a few people (no one important just fam and friends). Some people see it right away, but most see nothing. I see it very clearly each time I look at it. My sister sees more than one face, I have trouble with that one. Since you've been looking at these kinds of things a while, what do you see?
Here is the pic, you have a look and see if it is something you want to
put on your site. I shall check back from time to time on your site and
see if you've choosen to display my picture.
Stay curious,
JS from NY
When I further questioned Joanne as to exactly what kind of face she is seeing, she gave me this reply. I wanted to make sure she and I were seeing the same thing and damned if we ain't!
Joanne further writes:
Janet, thanks for your reply. I'm happy you will put my picture up on your site. You asked about the face I saw, I hope this defines it for you. I see a large face in the center, it looks rather skeletal yet with an evil expression on it. My sister sees this face and other smaller ones. I only see one large face. I've never found such and abnormality in a picture I've taken previous. I
suspect I shall never again, but I certainly will look very good at my
pictures from now on. I can't explain how frightened I was when I first saw that picture. I was still in the same spot I'd snapped it in and I was very afraid of what was out there with me! Once again thanks for your reply. I return now and then to ponder over the strange things on your site. Joanne
Me thinks that Joanne and I are cut from the same mold. She speaks like me - and we see the exact same face! God love her, I have found a soul mate! Thank you so much, Joanne!
Okay, we've heard from Joanne's sister, Barbara, and how interesting this face has become! Here's what Barbara says . . . and sees!
Hello Janet!!!!!! I am Barbara, Joanne's sister. I have attached a copy of that evil face picture, I call it The Minion, and I outlined some (no way I could do all), but most I think of the faces in it. Somehow, mysteriously the photo no longer exists on my computer. There is an icon for it but it seems that the file has been corrupted or maybe cleansed. I had to capture it from your web site (I didn't think you would mind). Anywho, it showed all the entities much better in the original photo. Not shrunken for email or web. Perhaps you can compare the two and now you and Joanne will see more of what I see in it. By the way I love your site - way Kewel! Barbara
Thank you so much, Barbara! That was incredibly haunting! BUT we have heard from another Halloween's Unseen fiend by the name of Robin, and she sees a lot in the big face too. I'll post this for comparison and kewelness! She also has included a ghost story! Oh, I just knew she was just like me, just like Joanne and Barbara. I'm dyin' here!
Robin says:
Hi! Ok, you may think I am nuts, but I happen to agree with her (Joanne's) sister. There are more than one Ghost in this picture! The more I look at it the more I see. Like it is in layers. Ghost on top of ghost (kewel!). I have outlined the more prominent ones. This pic is soooooooooooo creeeeeeeepy!
And Robin further gushes:
I found your site while surfing. My kids wanted to look at ghost pics, and I found you on yahoo's search engine. I booked your site, so we can return. I looked at bunches of sites that night and loved yours the best (yes!). My son was creeped out and didn't want to go to bed! (yes, yes!) Speaking of my son, let me tell you what happened to us once.............. We bought a house that had been empty for several years. I was heavy with child at the time of the move. We settled in and finally I had the baby. I was curious as to why the house was empty for so long, so when I was checking on my elderly neighbor, I
happened to ask her. Well..... I didn't like her answer. I had always had the creeps in that house, and finally sold it and moved. Ok, there was no gruesome
murders or anything, but........she told me that the lady who lived there before us, had died in her sleep and was there for several days before she was found. I had noticed things out of the corner of my eyes, like shadows moving, noises, etc. I remember one night we were in our bedroom and all the kids came running in, and busted the lock on my door. They were terrified! They heard something (or someone) scratching at the windows in the playroom/nursery. There was no way anything could have been scratching at the windows because they were about 15 feet off the ground and there were no trees in my back yard. I went in to check it out and heard it too. It sounded like someone had a rake and was scraping it on the windows. I never went in there in the dark again. I moved the nursery. My daughter (she was 9 at the time) slept in THE room where the old lady died. She was always hearing noises, etc. Now to get to where my son comes into the picture. We moved out of the house when he was a toddler. Well, sometime last spring (he was 5 at the time......) he asks me this question that still gives me the creeps just thinking about it. He says "Mom, who was that brown woman laying in sissy's bed? He went on to describe the room and it's location in the house. I had never mentioned to anyone other than
my husband where the old lady had died. I also never mentioned to anyone other than my husband that she was an African American woman. My son said she was lying on the bed everytime he would go into his sister's room. Anyway, I am glad we moved, and I am glad I never saw her lying there. I would have sh*t and fell back in it! Love your site!!!!!! Talk to you soon!
Okay, Robin, you've gone and done it! You've wrapped all my fears, my REAL fears all in one story! The very idea of something outside my window just terrifies me and you're talking about scratching on a window that's 15 feet off the ground. OH MY GAWD! Which reminds me, did you read Stephen King's book Salem's Lot? One of the vampire boys floated outside his brother's bedroom window which was on the second floor and he was scratching the glass with his fingernails which had grown long in death! Oh my, I'm scaring myself even more! Aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhh! Stop! Don't stop! I LOVE IT - DON'T STOP (ever)!!!! And thank you, all of you, for this really creeped out experience! Got any more?
