Ghost Pictures - September 27, 2004

Alright, everyone we have another new friend and new addition to our haunted world and he and his ghostly friends are most welcome! Please meet Jeff, who sends us this frightful story - in a story - and some truly eerie pictures. Thanks so much, Jeff!

Jeff writes:
I recently visited your ghost website, and viewed the pictures and read some of the stories. I find ghosts to be very fasinating indeed. I'm e-mailing you with one of my own stories of a ghost that is here in my state. For generations people living in a small town known as "Gurdon" have reported seeing a strange orb of light that was soon known as "The Gurdon Light" Supposedly, more than 150 years ago back in the 1800s, a railroad foreman fired one of his employees suspecting him of a train derailment. Enraged, his employee chopped off the railroad foreman's head, and shortly after, the light began to show up. The foreman used to carry a lantern with him to work everyday, and the light now is seen on the tracks at night and is beleived to be the light given off by the foreman's lantern as he looks for his missing head! There are a few other versions to this story, but what separates this story among others is that a real life murder did take place on these tracks many years ago, and the light did in fact begin showing up after it happend. Me and some friends went to the tracks for what was my 4th time being out to the old railroad, and we caught pictures of the light. I'm including two pictures in this e-mail. One of them is a far away view of the light coming towards us, and the other is a zoomed up picture of it as it came along the tree line. This light has passed through people before after they've sat on the tracks and tapped on the rusty rails a bit, or other people who have actually shot at it with a gun. If this light passes through it, it is said that something awful will happen to you. Of course, I was a bit skeptical of this, and I began joking with my friends about how stupid it all seemed, and whenever we got back to our cars, I began choking and coughing. When we drove further away from the railroad site, my throat finally cleared up. I am now attaching the pictures I got of the light, so if you would so kindly post my story to your website and the pictures, I would appreciate it.:) Please be aware that there is no other light in these pictures to ward off any possibility of a camera effect.

Okay, thanks Jeff. Tell us, just how creepy was it out there?! Creepy? Caaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeepy!
