| Hello to all my little twisted spookies! I for some reason am inspired to improve and expand on our Halloween's Unseen world, so I took a little cemetery crawl of my very own and I went to Forest Park Lawndale on a rainy day. I took some fantastic pictures as you will see below! There was, unfortunately, a down side though. When I went in the mausoleum - it was dark and dank which was good - but it STANK! They didn't have any of the air fresh thingy's going and Lord, the dead were odorous on this day. There was this one section that is down kind of below ground, well, it was kind of dark down there so you know it attracted my attention so I bopped on down the steps and into the dark and BAM it hit me! Ew - the smell! God, it was gross! Just about turned my stomach it did but not so much that I didn't snatch a few pics down there. This place is really creepy and I was the only one in there and the doors kept creaking and the wind kind of whistled around the windows. It was perfect! It gave me such a thrill! When I first went in, I paused for just a moment and thought, I should be scared, and then it passed (tee hee). All in all a great experience except for the smell. Then another shock - I found a grave of a friend that I had wondered about for 14 years! I just walked right up on it and I said, well, there you are! He was a cop that was killed in the line of duty. I was dating his friend and after he was killed, his friend would NEVER take me to the cemetery with him but lo, and behold, I found him! I wasn't even thinking about him, I was walking along and looked up and there he was, right in front of me! So strange when these things happen! There's a little more to the story, both of the guys are dead now. Both were cops. One killed in the line of duty and the other (my love) killed on his Harley. If you listen to the sounds on this page, you can just barely hear the sound of his motorcycle driving away..... listen ..... keep listening ..... did you hear it? Yes! Don't you just love this thang that I do?! I love sitting at my computer desk and going through hundreds of photos! Every page, something special.... every page, a new surprise!
